The Texas legislature established in 1985 that all Texas counties are to set aside tax dollars to provide medical assistance for their indigent population. These medical services include physician services, three prescriptions per month, lab work, x-rays and hospital out-patient and in-patient services.
*Applicants must be residents of Washington County to qualify for services.
